So … at lot has changed since we wrapped the first season of the B2B Marketing Exchange Podcast. Hell, a lot has changed since #B2BMX 2020 itself! The novel coronavirus was a mere blip in the news headlines when we met with 1,300+ marketers in Scottsdale. Now, the impact of the virus has impacted essentially every aspect in both our personal and professional lives.
This wasn’t how we expected our Season 2 premiere would go, but, as always, we are dedicated to talking about the topics that matter the most to our audience. Right now, marketers everywhere are struggling to find the best way to do their jobs in this unpredictable and unprecedented environment. However, as a community, we can all work together to nail down the best path forward.
In this episode, our co-hosts, Alicia Esposito and Klaudia Tirico, reflect on #B2BMX 2020 and how B2B has had to pivot since COVID-19 swept the globe. Jon Russo, Founder and CMO of B2B Fusion, and Jen Spencer, VP of Sales and Marketing at SmartBug Media, join the conversation to share how their realities have changed since the event. They delve into:
- The increased pressure on marketing to do more with less;
- A pivot to the fundamentals, including buyer understanding and targeted messaging;
- The need to balance traditional demand gen and more targeted, ABM plays; and
- Ways brands can pivot in-person field events to be more digital but just as experiential.
We’re so excited to welcome more experts and innovators to the podcast for Season 2. Be sure to check in every Wednesday for a new episode!
